The Island Aquarium, the Sea and its Curiosities At the Island Aquarium, you'll find answers to many of your questions, such as: Are sponges animals or vegetables? Do mollusks always have shells? Do fish always have bones? Could a starfish lose all of its arms? How does a lobster grow? What species have a potential for aquaculture in the Magdalen Islands?   Highlights at the Aquarium Touch pools It's possible for visitors - young and old - to handle certain species that are temporarily in the display tanks.       Seals A special, outdoor pool is available to observe seals. Crab Races From time to time, crab races are organized for the enjoyment of our visitors.   Interpretive Guides Interpretive guides are available at all times for visitors who would like more information to enjoy their visit.
